AGS's explemplary performance leads to recognition by the US Department of Energy
Wilmington, DE, February 1, 2009 – Associates Graphic Services (www.agsprint.com), a graphic communications company in Wilmington, DE, has been recognized by the US Department of Energy for participation in the Save Energy Now Program. Save Energy Now is a national initiative of the Industrial Technologies Program (ITP) to drive a 25% reduction in industrial energy intensity in 10 years.
“We are thrilled to receive this honor, green initiatives are at the top of our list for 2009” states Dave Zamorski, COO at AGS. "We strive to promote sustainability in our business and in our community,” added Dave.
DOE's Save Energy Now initiative helps American businesses, factories, and manufacturing facilities save energy and continue to thrive despite variable energy costs.
In the last two years, many companies working in partnership with DOE have already benefited from taking part in assessments. On average, each large plant assessment yields potential savings of $2.5 million. Implementing measures could help these plants save 10% or more per year on energy bills, not to mention productivity improvements and avoided carbon emissions.
