Bio: Charlie Copeland

The President of AGS since 1994, Charlie has grown it from a small 9-person company into one of the region's largest. AGS now has over 70 employees.

Charlie also serves as a State Senator from northern New Castle County, Delaware.

Before joining AGS, Charlie worked in various Information Systems positions with the DuPont Company. He finished his career there as Area Manager of Data Center Operations at the DeLisle, Mississippi, Chemicals and Pigments plant.

A graduate of Duke University, Charlie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science & Physics from the school, as well as an MBA with a focus in Finance. He also is an avid Atlantic Coast Conference basketball fan.

Active in the community, Charlie serves as President of the Board of the Challenge Program, a non-profit that trains at-risk youth in construction skills.

In addition, he is Vice President of the board of the Mt. Cuba Center, a member of the Delaware Workforce Investment Board and a member of the Sea Grant Advisory Council.
